Last couture season, Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri wowed us with a beautiful tulle dress that took control of 800 hours to develop for her launching haute couture collection. This season, the French style home upped the ante with a stunning take on an unanticipated color combination and a handmade tarot card coat that took 1500 hours of work to come to life.

The elaborately beaded piece took a group of 10 to finish– and there’s a behind-the-scenes video that reveals simply how comprehensive it actually is. In it, Chiuri discusses, “Mr. Dior was really amazed by tarot and astrology. Me too.” The numerous card styles that comprise the coat were established in the studio and are based upon initial tarot cards. Chirui chose her preferred cards as part of the style’s conception, consisting of the strength card, which she states is, “a really crucial card.” On the runway, the vibrant coat made rather the declaration, and trust us, you can’t miss it.
