XTM Performance, a prominent player in the Australian snow and outdoor market, has signed up with WFX – World Fashion Exchange’s PLM software. This partnership marks a pivotal step in XTM’s journey towards enhancing productivity, efficiency, and overall operational excellence. 
 
XTM’s Journey
 
Founded in 1999, XTM Performance has carved a niche in the Australian and now global market by specializing in performance clothing for winter sports and outdoor enthusiasts. Known for their high-quality, durable apparel, XTM has earned the prestigious title of official merchandise supplier to the Australian Winter Olympics team. Over the years, generations of Australian Winter Olympic athletes have relied on XTM’s products, cementing the brand’s reputation for excellence in performance wear.
 
Despite their success, XTM faced significant challenges due to their reliance on manual processes for managing collections, design specs, supplier communication, and production tracking. These inefficiencies created bottlenecks, making it difficult for the team to focus on design and development, and meet tight deadlines for their customers.
 
Path to PLM 
 
When XTM began exploring PLM solutions, they were initially skeptical due to past negative experiences with rigid, cumbersome systems. However, their thorough evaluation process revealed that WFX’s PLM stood out due to its flexibility, user-friendly interface, and comprehensive functionalities.
 
The team’s due diligence included detailed assessments of every aspect of the product and consultations with existing WFX customers in Australia such as Showpo, SPELL, and Forever New, which provided positive feedback and reassurances.
 
The team at XTM, shared their excitement about the partnership: “Our research into different PLM software really sparked our interest in WFX’s PLM. It’s the whole process from product design and management through planning, purchase orders, confirmations and communication. All of this can be accomplished, and it looks efficient, intuitive, and user-friendly, which will really boost XTM’s productivity, efficiency, and performance.” 
 
Empowering XTM for the Future
 
WFX PLM will enable XTM to manage their complete product lifecycle from design to production, including product development, planning, supply chain management, and communication with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. It will improve visibility and coordination, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality production. The integration with SAP ERP will ensure that there is no data redundancy or duplicity of work.
 
The WFX system’s supplier communication features will allow XTM to seamlessly send and receive information to their suppliers, providing real-time visibility into order statuses and timelines, significantly improving supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.
 
WFX PLM’s modern, intuitive design ensures a smooth learning curve, allowing XTM’s team to quickly adapt and maximize productivity along with operational agility.
