Sustainability is an approach that considers the inter-connected ecological, social and economic dimensions of systems and processes towards a harmonious and peaceful future. Sustainability is no more a shibboleth, but a practice to be cultivated. How does one use natural resources without impacting ecological, economic and social balance? Organisations have been trying in various ways to maintain an equilibrium, by minimising exploitation of natural resources and reducing impact on the environment, and all this while maintaining a socio-economic sanctity.
